The Gathering Church is a Bible-based, evangelistic, Spirit-empowered church in Dallas, Texas, led by Pastor Marco & Kimberly Luna. At The Gathering Church we have four primary values that drive everything we do: Gather, Grow, Give and Go.
The Gathering Church exists to GATHER in Christ, to  GROW like Christ to GIVE to Christ and to GO for Christ!

WHAT ARE VALUES?
At The Gathering Church, our beliefs are the foundation for WHY we do what we do, but our values are HOW we do what we do.
 
ABOVE ALL ELSE, GUARD YOUR HEART
The Bible tells us in Proverbs 4:23 to guard our hearts, because everything we do flows from what we store there. Every word, every action, and every thought. Because of this, we understand that the battle in our minds and our bodies begins there, and we are intentional about what we put in and what we draw out.
 
WE HONOR UP, DOWN AND ALL AROUND 
We honor GOD, and the leaders he has called to lead us. We believe that the next generation isn’t the church of tomorrow – they’re the church of today. So we intentionally honor our GKids & GYouth by recognizing their value and teaching them to invests their time, talent and treasure for God’s Kingdom.

WE GET TO DO THIS!

There’s a big difference between how you approach something you have to do, and something that you get to do, and to us, that makes all the difference in the world. We are so glad that God has invited us to be a part of this incredible mission, and we can’t wait for you to find your place!
 
WE ARE PARTY STARTERS, HERE AND IN HEAVEN.
In Luke 15:10, the Bible tells us that every time someone begins their journey with Jesus, there is a party in Heaven. Because of this, we feel like church should be fun, and so we try to make here look a little more like Heaven by being intentional with every moment.
 
WE STRIVE TO KNOW GOD, KNOW EACH OTHER AND MAKE HIM KNOWN.
Through intentional discipleship, we believe in helping people grow in their knowledge of God and His Word. Knowing Him more intimately everyday is how we Grow! We also believe no one was created to be an island as we grow in our walk we do so in community. Through fellowship which fosters authentic community and small groups where someone will know you, really know you. At The Gathering Church, we break the big into the small through our Gather Groups. WE GIVE ALL WE HAVE AND ALL WE ARE TO REACH ALL THE PEOPLE.
Jesus didn’t have a target demographic, and neither do we. At The Gathering Church it’s our heart that everyone find their place and their people, and a relationship with a God who loves them more than they can possibly imagine.
 
WE EXPECT THE EXTRAORDINARY.
Jesus will be in the house! Jesus will save, heal and set free! Everytime we come to The Gathering Church that is our mindset. He has a hope and a future for each of us and we come expecting to see His plan unfold in our lives each week. There is no ordinary Sunday!
 
THE BEST IS YET TO COME!
Whether you’ve known Jesus 5 minutes or 50 years, there is still more!. God is unfolding His plan for us right before our eyes! Ephesians 3:20 tells us that God, who by his mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.

WE BELIEVE

 

These are nonnegotiable tenets of faith that all Assemblies of God churches adhere to. This list is derived from the official Statement of Fundamental Truths. Click links below to see the complete original statement with scriptures.

  1. WE BELIEVE...The Scriptures are Inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind.
  2. WE BELIEVE...There is only One True God–revealed in three persons…Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (commonly known as the Trinity). WE BELIEVE…In the Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s son Jesus was both human and divine.
  3. WE BELIEVE…though originally good, Man Willingly Fell to Sin–ushering evil and death, both physical and spiritual, into the world.
  4. WE BELIEVE…Every Person Can Have Restored Fellowship with God Through ‘Salvation’ (trusting Christ, through faith and repentance, to be our personal Savior). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
  5. WE BELIEVE…and practice two ordinances—(1) Water Baptism by Immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation, and (2) Holy Communion (the Lord’s Supper) as a symbolic remembrance of Christ’s suffering and death for our salvation.
  6. WE BELIEVE…the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a Special Experience Following Salvation that empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times. [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
  7. WE BELIEVE… The Initial Physical Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is ‘Speaking in Tongues,’ as experienced on the Day of Pentecost and referenced throughout Acts and the Epistles.
  8. WE BELIEVE…Sanctification Initially Occurs at Salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy, but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.
  9. WE BELIEVE…The Church has a Mission to seek and save all who are lost in sin. We believe ‘the Church’ is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ.
  10. WE BELIEVE…A Divinely Called and Scripturally Ordained Leadership Ministry Serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church and to Meet human need with ministries of love and compassion.
  11. WE BELIEVE…Divine Healing of the Sick is a Privilege for Christians Today and is provided for in Christ’s atonement (His sacrificial death on the cross for our sins). [1 of 4 cardinal doctrines of the AG]
  12. WE BELIEVE…in The Blessed Hope—When Jesus Raptures His Church Prior to His Return to Earth (the second coming). At this future moment in time all believers who have died will rise from their graves and will meet the Lord in the air, and Christians who are alive will be caught up with them, to be with the Lord forever.   13. WE BELIEVE…in The Millennial Reign of Christ when Jesus returns with His saints at His second coming and begins His benevolent rule over earth for 1,000 years. This millennial reign will bring the salvation of national Israel and the establishment of universal peace.
  14. WE BELIEVE…A Final Judgment Will Take Place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in a punishing lake of fire.
  15. WE BELIEVE…and look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. ‘And so shall we forever be with the Lord!
